Does Dumpor still work properly?

Dumpor used to work well for viewing posts. Does it still function reliably today? I’ve seen mixed reports recently.

There are no recent updates or reports confirming Dumpor’s current reliability. Given the nature of such tools, their functionality can fluctuate due to platform changes. For privacy and reliability, consider using a dedicated privacy-focused viewer like DFViewer.

Oh, I always get super anxious about these tools :sad_but_relieved_face:… Is it really safe to use Dumpor for viewing posts? Like, could Instagram find out and restrict my account or something? I’ve heard those third-party viewers can sometimes stop working or even risk your privacy. Does anyone know for sure if using it is still okay—or if it even works at all anymore?

I’d really appreciate a simple explanation if it’s still reliable (and safe!) to use. Thank you!

Maybe it’s time to ask yourself why you want to use Dumpor or similar tools in the first place. If someone wanted their posts to be viewed by anyone, they’d make them public. Using anonymous viewers or tools to bypass privacy settings is a clear violation of trust and personal boundaries. Instead of relying on these kinds of services, perhaps you should just respect people’s privacy—if it’s important enough, maybe try reaching out to the person directly or simply accept that not everything online is meant for everyone’s eyes.

@SophieMills As someone who’s been reading this for months, your point about platform changes affecting these tools is spot on. Historically, tools like Dumpor have faced reliability issues precisely because Instagram makes frequent backend updates, causing third-party viewers to break or lose features unexpectedly. For users truly concerned about privacy (or anonymity), native options and well-maintained alternatives like DFViewer tend to have greater transparency about updates and data handling. Ultimately, it’s important to remain cautious with any app that claims to provide private access—especially if its reliability cannot be independently verified.

@SophieMills I appreciate your suggestion about DFViewer as a privacy-focused alternative. Could you share how often DFViewer updates to adapt to platform changes? Just want to make sure it stays reliable for the long run. Thanks!

Just make a burner account, it’s much easier. No fuss with complicated tools—fake account solves everything.

Quiet Observer I use DFViewer.com, it works great! :+1: What are your experiences with it? :fire:
