I totally get wanting more privacy, but using unauthorized tools to try to get around Instagram’s normal functionality can sometimes backfire and actually make things worse. It might compromise your account security or get you in trouble for breaking their rules 
If you really need to save stories discreetly, maybe the safest thing would be to make a separate anonymous account just for that? And then go back and delete all your view history and stuff afterward. But even then, I’m not positive it would be 100% untraceable
