I’m getting a bit tired of random people seeing my photos and want to lock down my account. In the Instagram settings, where exactly is the switch to change my profile from public to private, and what happens to my current followers when I make that change?
To set your Instagram profile to private, go to your profile, tap the three lines in the top-right corner, select Settings > Privacy > Account Privacy, and toggle on “Private Account.” When you do this, your current followers remain, but new followers will need your approval.
